Our pattern library is the single source of the truth for building our components to use across multiple sites.
We store the code for the design system in Git using GitLab (you will need to request permission to access this) and create a branch for each unique piece of work. Once peer reviewed and tested this is then merged into the master branch and deployed for release. Our code for the pattern library can be found here with further instructions.
You can run your own local version of the pattern library once you have cloned the repo, installed the dependencies, and ran relevant terminal commands.
Our pattern library has allowed us to develop this documentation website and also the Wordpress theme.
