Page templates
You can choose from three page templates:
Landing page template
The landing page template was created to make a strong first impression. It focuses on selling the University and promoting the content above others. It does this by using a full width fixed background image and by not using a white container for content.

It uses the contextual nav component to help the user understand the page structure and quickly navigation to a section that best meets their need.
Use when
- You are creating a top-level page, for example a subject or school
- You are creating a collection of pages and require subnavigation
- Your page is a parent to child pages
- Your content suits a background image
- You want to display lists of content (for example, lists of stories, courses, projects)
- Your content references other content (for example, links to stories, courses, people)
Do not use when
- Your page isn’t top level
- Your page needs to display a single block of content
Sublanding page template
The sublanding page template was created to act as a link between landing pages and content pages. It uses a background image in the ‘hero’ region and a white container for content. It allows editors to present content that isn’t top level or a standard low-level page.

This template can display components that sit within containers (‘panels’) and simply container-less components, such as:
Use when
- You are creating a mid-level page, for example, a course, a page listing of groups, stories, or people
- You are creating a collection of pages and require subnavigation
- Your page is a parent to child pages
- Your page is a child to a parent landing page
- Your content suits a ‘hero’ image
Do not use when
- Your page isn’t mid-level
- Your page needs to display a single, short block of content
Content page template
The content page template allows editors to present content as a standard low-level page.

This template can display container-less components, such as:
It should not be used to display components that use a container (‘panel’).
Use when
- You are creating a low-level page, for example a course child page, a guide, a person, an announcement
- Your page belongs to a collection of pages and requires subnavigation
- Your page is a child to a parent landing or sublanding page
- Your content suits a ‘hero’ image
Do not use when
- Your page isn’t low-level
- Your page requires a more visual presence
- You want to display lists of content (for example, lists of stories, courses, projects)
- Your content references other content (for example, links to stories, courses, people)
